The Distillery to be the Next Project for Little Rock's East Village

Little Rock, Tuesday May 29, 2018 - Plans were formally announced today for the renovation of the Rocktown Distillery building located at the corner of 6th and Shall Street in Little Rock's fast emerging EAST VILLAGE neighborhood. The project will be known as THE DISTILLERY and will be the new Headquarters for ROCK DENTAL BRANDS. Merritt Dake, the company's CEO stated, "This is our company's second major expansion in Downtown Little Rock in less than 3 years. We’ve been looking for a place to accommodate our company’s growth, and we’re excited to find a new home in an exciting new development like the East Village. Our Rock Dental Brands team will relocate from our Clinton Avenue building to the East Village into 15,000 square feet of space, which will accommodate approximately 100 employees.”

Rock Dental Brands was founded in 1986, with two Orthodontic Clinics. The practices operated up until 2012 as a small privately owned business. In 2012, a dental management company was formed to manage and operate the business and today the group includes 74 clinics in 3 states. Rock Dental Brands is dedicated to supporting our doctors so they can strive to set the highest standard of dental care possible throughout the lifetime of their patients.

The DISTILLERY is a joint venture development of Newmark Moses Tucker Partners, Cromwell Architects Engineers and Rock Dental. The total project cost is estimated to be $3.5 million. In addition to the offices for Rock Dental Brands, a coffee shop will be located at the corner of the building facing Shall Street to accommodate not only the company's employees but also parents dropping their kids at the new eStem East Village Middle School , as well as bikers, joggers, residents and other workers in the area.

The General Contractor for the project will be HYDCO. Architectural & engineering services will be provided by CROMWELL and Development Services by NEWMARK MOSES TUCKER PARTNERS. Construction financing is being provided by IBERIA BANK. The renovation should begin in mid July, 2018 and be complete early in 2019.
